Summer 2009 in Bruges

This summer is totally going to be it for anyone who pays a visit to Bruges, Belgium, a city that is one of the most perfectly preserved medieval towns in Europe, Brugge is a remarkable living canvas of old Flemish masters.

Staying in a hotel in Bruges is at least as good as staying in a hotel in Parijs or in an Amsterdam hotel in the city centre. It's a small city but there's so much to discover. Every tourist should do like me: begin with a guided walking tour to the heart of the city with its magnificent Grand Place filled with quaint houses featuring decorated facades, the Halles - covered market - with its belfry, the Place du Bourg with the Saint Sang Basilica, the Gothic style Townhall and the Beguinage - Beguine Convent. TA cruise on the famous canals is very recommended during the summer season, due to the great weather (usually the best weather around mid july).

During high season, Bruges is absolutely submerged in tourists. ake enough time for lunch and shopping, you might buy some handmade lace or Belgian chocolates...
